MENTAL HEALTH PATIENTS: Bathrooms Repairs and toiletry bags for 80 patients, 30 staff at the JFK Grant Center, Paynesville. Estimates for repairs are US$570; 130 toiletry bags @$4 = $520; TOTAL: $1090;
HIV/AIDS PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES: Food bags (rice, beans, sardine, peanuts, plantain chips, palm oil); 120 patients/families ($7 per food bag) = US$840. Note: We will partner with a local Christian Health Center in Monrovia, Liberia.
A 4-wheel drive pick-up) = US$8750, Shipment and clearing cost estimated at $3500; TOTAL: US$12250. [Sadly, our 6 yr. old 4-wheel drive white Nissan pick-up was stolen 3 weeks ago from the Paynesville/Monrovia Area by one of our young people we were disciplining and schooling. This experience has been disheartening.
Pray that our reaction will continue to be Christ-like and be a witness of Christ love to his Muslim Family whom have now disowned him publicly and are in search of him with the local police.] This mission pickup transports our family, mission teams and outreach/mission trips/on hundreds of miles dirt road throughout Liberia. Liberia has two seasons: Rainy (May-Oct), Dry (Nov-April).
