NL GoYe/L  Dry Season, 14th February 2015

Beloved:

YHWH remains faithful!  Thank you for your prayers and support during these challenging days!  We have been thru the fire, storm…war, Ebola, surrounded by disease, danger and death; “fighting within and fears without”.  The Holy Spirit keeps speaking ‘I am with you always…even to the end…eternity!

July 20, 2014 – January 20, 2015, we prayerfully answered GOD’s call to remain in Liberia and serve.  The Ebola Epidemic  affected Sierra Leone, Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, Mali, US, Spain, UK, some 22000 world-wide infections, with 8500 plus deaths [2400 deaths in Liberia, including Pastor Napoleon Braithwaite, a seminary brother and friend and his daughter our God-daughter, Margaret].  ‘Liberia again’, many said!  When the Pharaohs [National Leaders] refused to listen, God sent the plagues.

Yes, we prayed, served and followed God’s lead, “Go, make disciples, teach…” Matthew 28:19-20 and “Be witnesses” Acts 1:8.    Yes!  God kept His promises, so we prayed, shared the awareness on the Ebola disease, distributed Clorox, sanitation/hygiene items, food and other supplies.  Neither fear nor death would stop us from caring and sharing the love of Christ!  I returned to the US on the 20th of January.  Thanks to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Shiloh Baptist Church, McDonough, GA and First Baptist Church Cornelia, GA, First Baptist Church, Manassas, VA for contributing!

Following 21 days of observation for persons returning from Ebola affected countries by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in Georgia, I have received clearance.  My follow-up medical appointment in GA November, 2014, was deferred.  After much mixed international /media reaction, 4000 US Marines joined Liberia and other affected areas in the fight against the epidemic; zero rate of infection rate is now within sight.

Kindly pray for:

  • Renewed Vision: ‘Go make disciples, teach…’ Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8;
  • Eradication of the Ebola Disease in Sierra Leone, Guinea, Liberia and the world;
  • Orphans and basic needs (food, clothing, shelter, tuition, books, mentoring, healing);
  • Water-sanitation projects, adopt a village in Liberia; 2015 goals of 4 water wells, 3 toilet projects in rural Liberia, Margibi, Grand Bassa, Bong and Cavalla, $3500 per water well / toilet project;
  • Visionary Leaders: Teachers, village elders/chiefs, Law-makers, judges, pastors, health workers;
  • Students and teachers as they return to school on the 2nd March;
  • Personal medical follow-up appointment 4th March and my return to Liberia on the 8th March;
  • Medical Insurance at age 56 (Need: $198.73 monthly BlueCross  BlueShield Plan);
  • Wisdom in the stewardship of our $2700.00 monthly income with personal and ministry needs;
  • New Leadership Institute, quarterly seminars, distant learning, beginning June, 2015.

PRAY, GIVE, LOVE, CARE AND SHARE!  “PUSH:  Pray Until Something Happens!”  “Beloved, we are the children of God.  And it does not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see Him as He is.” I John 3:2.  Believe it, sing it, live it!

Shalom and Love,
